I've owned this bike over 20 years, picking it up as a true barn find out of a garage that had been locked closed for more than a decade. She was barely more than a frame and a bunch of crates full of parts, but after a quick and dirty rebuild I had her running safely down the road. For the next fifteen years I rode her with not much more than a Rustoleum paint job and some baling wire to hold her together. In 2003, after a catastrophic oil pump failure, I began a two year total rebuild and brought her back to the condition seen today.
Rustoleum and baling wire
As she looks today!
Sad to say, but after Super Storm Sandy, my '50 Panhead is in need of some TLC.
